religious and intellectual activities of Western Civilization from early
man through the great cultures of the Ancient Middle East, Egypt, Greece,
Rome. Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Reformation. Also studied are
the foundation and growth of Asian, African, and North and South American
civilizations. Emphasis is placed upon the ideas, social movements,
and the great people of history. It is highly recommended for social science
majors and for others desiring more background for contemporary society. |
