HARBOR MEN'S SOCCER team looking to transcend in 2013 season
The Harbor College Men's Soccer program is looking forward to the 2013 season after reaching the second round of the playoffs once again in 2012. The team has a lot to look forward to in 2013, despite the loss of 13 players to four-year universities. The new-look Seahawks will strive to transcend with the help of some top returners and a very good freshman class. Even though the team will be very young, the coaching staff knows that the Seahawks will be very tough to beat and try to soar in the most competitive conference in the state: The South Coast Conference.
Some of the top returning players will be Diego Dubon (2011 All-Daily Breeze Team), Rolando Alvarado (Carson), Gima Terrance and Sergio Cervantes (Narbonne).
The top incoming freshmen include: Edgar Lomeli (Goalie, Jalisco, Mexico), Eduardo Ramirez (Banning), Byron Rivera and Luis Ramirez (Narbonne), Federico Salas and Brian Flores (Lawndale), Brayan F. Flores (Los Angeles), Gerardo Cruz (Santa Barbara), Hilario Ortega (Banning), David Cruz and Victor Gutierrez (Southeast), Omar Nuno and Erick Nuno (Pete Knight), Brian Bolanos (Goalie, Galaxy Academy), Haydn Cahill (Salem University), Jonathan McClouth (West Alabama University), George Zuniga and Jose Gonzalez (Firebaugh), Jose Avila (Salesian), Aurelia Partida (Morningside), Jesus Gutierrez, Anthony Martin, Brandon Ramos and Marvin Parra (Animo Leadership), Kendal Olivares, Alberto Valdez and Abraham De Arcos (Leuzinger) and Dakota Kaufman (Redondo).
