February 4th Chaffey at Harbor

 

Natalie Ayala pitched all seven innings, fanning four batters and walking none as the Seahawks prevailed 3-1 over visiting Chaffey College. Sarah Barba and Brandi Sutcliffe each went 2-of-3 with a run scored.

 

 

February 8th Harbor at Rio Hondo

 

The Seahawks' furious comeback rally from four runs down in the 7th fell short as they lost 7-6 to the host Roadrunners. Brandi Sutcliffe went 2-of-3 at bat and pitched a full game, allowing only three earned runs and fanning four batters.

 

 

February 10th Orange Coast at Harbor

 

Harbor split its home doubleheader with the visiting Pirates, losing 7-5 in Game 1 and winning 9-5 in Game 2. Brandi Sutcliffe earned her first win in Game 2 while going 2-of-4 at the plate with two runs scored.

 

 

February 13th Harbor at Los Angeles Valley

 

Natalie Ayala was 2-of-3 with 2 RBI and earned her second victory of the season with four strikeouts in a full game of work at the mound as the Seahawks defeated L.A. Valley 4-1.

 

 

February 14th Mt. San Antonio at Harbor

 

A four-run 4th inning by the visiting Mounties led to a 5-1 opening South Coast Conference loss for the Seahawks. Larissa Sandoval was 2-of-3 at bat to lead Harbor.

 

 

February 16th Harbor at Cerritos

 

The visiting Seahawks allowed nine runs in the 4th inning en route to a 9-1 loss in five frames to the Falcons. Natalie Ayala pitched another full game and allowed only one earned run in the loss.

 

February 18th Los Angeles Mission at Harbor

 

The Seahawks split the doubleheader against L.A. Mission, as Brandi Sutcliffe went 5-of-8 in the two games at bat, scoring four runs and driving in seven more, while blasting two home runs.

 

February 21st Pasadena City at Harbor

 

Harbor ran out to a 9-0 lead after four innings en route to a dominant 11-3 mercy rule win in six frames. Brandi Sutcliffe fanned six batters for her second win of the season.

 

February 23rd Harbor at Long Beach City

 

Natalie Ayala's nine punchouts were not enough as the Seahawks fell 4-1 to the host Vikings. Harbor led 1-0 after three innings.

 

February 25th Harbor at Glendale

 

The Seahawks were swept by the Vaqueros Saturday afternoon, falling 8-0 in five innings and 10-5 in a full seven. In Game 2, Sarah Barba was a perfect 3-of-3 at bat with a run scored and 3 RBI.

 

February 28th Harbor at El Camino

 

Behind Natalie Ayala's nine strikeouts, Harbor blanked El Camino 6-0 to earn its 2nd South Coast Conference victory and snap a four-game road losing streak. Christine Barba went 3-of-4 with 2 RBI in the win.

 

March 1st Harbor at Compton

 

The visiting Seahawks ran off 13 hits and overwhelmed Compton 15-0. Brandi Sutcliffe notched 5 RBI off a 2-of-4 outing while earning her 3rd victory at the mound, fanning six batters.

 

March 2nd Harbor vs Santa Monica

 

In the opening pool play game of the Golden West Tournament for the Seahawks, Brandi Sutcliffe and Erika Williams pushed Harbor to a 3-1 win over the Corsairs in eight innings. Trailing 1-0 in the 8th, Williams struck an RBI double to tie the contest, then ran in another score after Sutcliffe's walkoff homer to left field. Natalie Ayala struck out 12 batters in the win.

 

March 2nd Harbor vs San Bernardino Valley

 

Trailing 5-2 in the 4th inning, the Seahawks rallied to rout the Wolverines 12-5 to win their pool bracket in the Golden West Tournament. Bernadette Cardenas was 2-of-4 with a run scored and 2 RBI, including a left field home run to start the 7-0 scoring run in the 4th.

 

March 3rd Harbor vs Foothill

 

Brandi Sutcliffe blasted a 2 RBI home run to right field in the 1st inning as Harbor toppled Foothill College 5-1 to reach the final round of four of the Golden West Tournament.

 

March 4th Harbor vs Southwestern

 

The Seahawks led 2-1 early on in the semifinal game vs Southwestern College in the Golden West Tournament, but could not continue their momentum amidst three errors en route to a 10-2 loss in six innings. Bernadette Cardenas was 2-of-3 with a run scored and an RBI, including a leadoff home run to center field in the 1st inning.

 

March 4th Harbor vs Moorpark

 

Jackie Alvarez struck a game-winning RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the 7th inning to give Harbor a 10-9 win over the Raiders and 3rd place in the Golden West Tournament.

 

March 6th Harbor at East Los Angeles

 

The Seahawks couldn't overcome three errors, despite 11 hits, in a close 6-5 loss to host East L.A. Natalie Ayala allowed only two earned runs in the loss.

 

March 8th Harbor at Mt. San Antonio

 

Sarah Barba hit a left field home run in the 1st inning, but Harbor fell apart under three errors and 10 hits allowed in a 9-1 loss in five innings at Mt. SAC.

 

March 10th Santa Ana at Harbor

 

The Seahawks were unable to keep up with the Dons in a 7-1 loss. Natalie Ayala struck out four hitters.

 

March 13th Cerritos at Harbor

 

Andrea Scott hit her second home run of the season, but the Seahawks were overwhelmed in a 12-4 loss to the visiting Falcons.

 

March 15th Harbor at Pasadena City

 

Sarah Barba went 3-of-3 with a home run as Harbor

stymied the host Lancers with 12 hits en route to a 13-0 mercy rule victory, the team's second shutout of the season.

 

March 20th Long Beach City at Harbor

 

Sarah Barba and Tera Stout each went 2-of-2 at bat and combined for two runs scored and 5 RBI as the Seahawks toppled the Vikings 10-2 in five innings.

 

March 22nd El Camino at Harbor

 

Christine Barba struck two home runs as Harbor earned

its third straight mercy rule win in a 12-1 rout of the visiting Warriors in five innings.

 

March 24th Harbor at Victor Valley

 

The Seahawks swept a doubleheader in the desert against host Victor Valley College, winning 6-4 in the first meeting, then 5-4 in the second match-up. Natalie Ayala earned both victories in consecutive starts at pitcher.

 

March 27th Compton at Harbor

 

Harbor notched its sixth straight win and eighth overall mercy rule victory with a 12-3 rout of the visiting Tartars.

Andrea Scott, Sarah Barba and Joanna Olivo each were perfect at bat, while Natalie Ayala struck out six for her 13th win of the season.

 

March 29th East Los Angeles at Harbor

 

Harbor used a seven-run 3rd inning to push past the visiting Lady Huskies 11-5 for its seventh consecutive win.

 

April 3rd Mt. San Antonio at Harbor

 

Harbor allowed 16 hits and recorded two errors in a 16-0 loss in five innings to the visiting Mounties.

 

April 5th Harbor at Cerritos

 

Sarah Barba's 3-of-3 performance at the plate was not enough as Harbor fell to the host Falcons 9-1 in six innings.

 

April 10th Pasadena City at Harbor

 

The Seahawks used a 12-run 1st inning to push past the visiting Lancers 17-8 in five innings for the season sweep.

 

April 12th Harbor at Long Beach City

 

The Seahawks unraveled in the 5th and 6th innings after trailing 1-0 following four frames to fall 8-0 to the host Vikings.

 

April 17th Harbor at El Camino

 

Harbor made a late-game rally from two runs down in the 7th inning to topple the host Warriors 3-2 and sweep the season series.

 

April 19th Harbor at Compton

 

The Seahawks did not take to bat or on defense for their contest at Compton, winning by forfeit over the Tartars.

 

April 21st Los Angeles Valley at Harbor

 

Christine Barba went 2-of-4 with an RBI as Harbor fended off a pesky Monarchs squad 3-1.

 

April 24th East Los Angeles at Harbor

 

The Seahawks wrapped up the 2012 season with big outings by Andrea Scott (2-of-3, 2 RBI, run scored), Sarah Barba (2-of-4, run scored, RBI) and Erika Williams (2-of-3, run scored, RBI) to edge the Huskies.
