in season opener,
topples L.A. Mission
The softball team returned with a new starting cast, but with a bigger impact as the Lady Seahawks routed visiting Los Angeles Mission College, 11-5, Friday afternoon at Harbor.
Tiana Tuinei was 2-of-4 with three runs scored, while Brittany Garland had 4 RBI while going 3-of3 at bat. Valentina Nabayan also had a big game with 3 RBI and a triple, going 2-of-4 for the day.
Shawnae Campbell (1-0), pitched four innings and struck out four batters, while Rocky Wright worked in relief and struck out five in the final three frames.
Harbor will travel to Los Angeles Valley today for a double header with L.A. Valley and Santa Ana at 10 a.m. and noon.
