Welcome to the Los Angeles Harbor College Nursing Department!
The Associate Degree Registered Nursing
program at Los Angeles Harbor College
has been successfully educating and preparing
students to become Registered Nurses since
1963. Our goal is to educate a diverse body of
students to become safe, competent, and caring
RNs in an environment of academic and clinical
excellence and support. The nursing program
has strong college and community support and
National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX)
pass rates which exceed national benchmarks.
After the completion of prerequisite courses, the
Registered Nursing program is four semesters
in length. The program integrates theoretical
instruction in the classroom with small group
discussions and clinical experiences in hospitals,
home health care agencies, and other settings in
the community. Students also have opportunities
to participate in simulated clinical experiences
and practice clinical skills in the state-of-the-art
simulation and nursing skills laboratories.
Upon successful completion of the nursing
program, graduates receive an Associate of
Science Degree, Professional Nursing, and are
qualified to take the National Council Licensure
Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX).
