Online Appointments

Schedule your appointment online!

Online scheduling has resumed.  Appointments often fill up quickly, so the best time to schedule your appointment online is every Monday at 8AM.  This is when we open our schedule for the following week.

The Counseling Department's phone number is (310) 233-4299. Whenever possible, students are encouraged to come to drop-in counseling.  This is one of our busiest times of year, and demand for appointments is very high.

Please call the Counseling Department at (310) 233-4299 to have your name added to our scheduling system if:

  • you are unable to log in and schedule an appointment (error messages regarding an "Invalid ID")
  • you just applied to the college and have a student ID number but have never seen a counselor before

Frequent questions.

Counseling Appointments

If you need to schedule an appointment with a counselor, there are several ways to do so.  Note that many questions can be answered during drop-in counseling hours.  The best time to schedule an appointment is Monday morning at 8am.  Appointments often fill up within a matter of hours.

If you have attended a college outside of the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD), it is your responsibility to bring a copy of your unofficial transcript with you. Note that submission of transcripts to Admissions & Records does not guarantee that the Counseling Division has access to those transcripts.

The best way to book an appointment is online. Click here.

You can also call us at (310) 233-4299, or book an appointment in person at the Student Services & Administration building.

Drop-in Counseling

Drop-in Counseling can be an excellent opportunity to meet with a counselor to discuss your classes and goals.  Students are accepted first-come, first-served.  Drop-in counseling often fills up quickly, so be sure to arrive early.

Note: Students who need a Student Educational Plan (SEP), Petition to graduate, Dismissal contract, veterans' paperwork, etc. should schedule an appointment.

  • Review of technical and vocational offerings.
  • Clarification of the general education and major requirements to transfer to universities.
  • Reviewing transcripts from other colleges to clear a prerequisite class.
  • Assistance in choosing suitable educational or career goals.
